Somehow, spring is on our heels here in New Jersey. With buckets of snow wreaking havoc on our area in October, I was bracing for a rough winter. But here we are in March without anything significant since the fall, and it’s taking everything I have not to bring out the flip flops already!

With so many spring and early summer sessions scheduled, I thought it was a good time to restart the ‘What to Wear’ posts. While the most important thing is to be yourselves, be true to your style, sometimes we need a little help for what photographs well.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – layer, layer layer, accessorize, accessorize, accessorize, and for heaven’s sake do not match. Coordinate yes, match no. Your kids are individuals, dress them to showcase their unique personalities.

Little girls love tutus and pettiskirts and they go great with a fun pair of leggings, simple tank top, jean jacket and cute hat.

And little boys can have fun too with adorable hats and ties!

Gap is always a go-to-store for me and this year I’m loving the shades of blue, green, yellow, and gray. And as a girly girl myself, I think you can’t go wrong when you throw pink in the mix. Happy shopping!
