One of the reasons I love this job so very much is because it allows me to hang out with so many amazing people, and get to know so many awesome kids. This family of three is no exception. At the start of our session Emily was a bit hesitant, a bit nervous, and a bit shy. But I know how to talk kid. I put my camera down and tried to get to know her, and after some silly sounds, some weird games, and some chatter about 2 year old television characters, Emily stepped out of her shell – she stepped out, she didn’t jump out – but what emerged was a sweet and cautious dainty little girl. She loved showing me the rocks she collected along our walk, she pointed out so many flowers, and she loved exploring. Emily is so very loved and I loved watching her parents connect with her, and each other. Here’s a glimpse into our session:
