Hello all! Being a photographer has been such an amazing adventure in my life, and I am so blessed to have a home studio to photograph my wonderful clients in! Having a facility with plenty of space and equipment has really helped to make things much more comfortable and relaxed for everyone involved. And since it’s in my basement I can setup or cleanup at midnight if I want to, huge bonus!

Welcome to Our Studio

To kick off the summer season, I am thrilled to give you a quick tour of the studio, showcasing what I use for newborn sessions. Newborn photography has always been a passion of mine, and I have dedicated a lot of time and effort into making my studio a comfy and safe environment for my precious little clients! To ensure that the babies can sleep soundly, I use a white noise machine plugged into the wall. This portable Baby Shusher (love this product!) is my go-to! It soothes the little ones, allowing them to get plenty of rest during the session. And of course, we have lots of hand sanitizer, baby wipes, pacifiers, water, coffee, and snacks!

Props Galore

While safety and comfort are my priorities, I am a prop addict, constantly buying new buckets, bowls, outfits, headbands, and wraps! If you watch my behind the scenes videos on Instagram you’ll see those props are always done safely and with a spotter. I love layers and incorporate a lot of different layers and textures into my images to create additional dimension. My studio is also filled with items from my favorite vendors. I have about 50 different fabrics in any color you could want, rugs, wood floors, and soft cozy fluffy layers to make my images unique. Props add so much color and detail to a photo, and I am so thankful for all of my wonderful vendors for making products that match my style and vision for newborn sessions!

My Go-To Equipment

To get the perfect photos of my clients, I shoot using a Nikon, mainly my D750. Lenses used are the Nikkor 50mm, Nikkor 24-70 and Sigma Art 35mm. These lenses are amazing, and provide such clear, beautiful images! As much as I love newborns, I also work with sitters, moms-to-be, and cake smashes in my studio (everything else is done outside). My main goal is to make sure parents are comfortable and enjoy the process.
