“Sometimes,’ said Pooh, ‘the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.” ― A.A. Milne

Meet baby Chanie. Creamy skin, perfect lips, gorgeous blue eyes. I melted the minute she came through the door.

Chanie has THREE older brothers, and her parents are still in shock that they finally have their princess. She’s worn nothing but PINK since the day she was born, and I can only imagine what her closet looks like.

I met Chanie when she was almost a month old, which is often a more difficult age to photograph since it takes a lot longer to get them to sleep, but it worked to our favor as we were able to capture both sleeping and wide awake shots. She’s a party animal and is awake much of the day and night, and as you can see even when sleeping she liked to keep one eye open, she didn’t want to miss a second of the party.

One of Chanie’s mom’s oldest friends joined us for our session, and the sound of my shutter clicking was masked by their ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’ and the occasional ‘eeeee!’ I loved their enthusiasm and their shared love of each other and their families.

I think this one looks like she passed out after a long night at the bar. Every time I tried to tuck her arm under her head she woke up, which meant another 5 minutes of soothing her back to sleep. So we just left her arm, it adds to the ‘hung over’ effect.

C’s mama is clearly madly in love with their new addition and I wish them a lifetime of love, happiness, and trips to the mall.
