Sisters
When I was pregnant with my first baby, I was beyond thrilled to have a girl. When it came time for #2 I would do anything for her to have a sister, so when baby girl #2 came into this world (teeny tiny but with the loudest cry I ever heard), I was beside myself with joy. With two girls at home, baby #3 could not be a boy, there was no option. We’re a house of pink, barbies, and tutus. I wasn’t ready to bring G.I. Joe into the mix (although maybe I should buy one for my husband). And along came princess #3. I know girls. I’m good with girls. And in my mind, there is nothing in the world better than sisters.
So when my friend (and cousin somehow) asked me to photograph her gorgeous family with three girls just like mine, I was thrilled. We had a great session – although a wedding party had the audacity to barge in and begin the wedding processional at the public park (gorgeous intimate wedding!) – and the love between these sisters was remarkable. The oldest two especially had an incredible bond, and I was amazed that there was not one second of bickering, whining, or complaining that one got 30 seconds more of camera time than the other got. See them holding hands? I did not tell them to do that. They automatically walked around holding hands. Love. Here’s a sample of our day, I hope she loves these images as much as I do.
Beautiful. It makes me sad Nelle doesn’t have a sister!
I think that any comment I post will come out wrong, so I’m just gonna be quiet… Great pics as always though!
