Oh Maya. When Maya’s mom and I were discussing her session, she called her ‘dramatic.’ I got a good laugh and said that all girls are dramatic…but really how dramatic could she be? Turns out, mom was right. Maya is fantastic, and hilarious, and gorgeous, and DRAMATIC! At only one year old, she’s learned to bat her eyelashes and tug at her daddy’s leg, and she gets picked up. She’s learned that daddy will give in and therefore she wants to be in his arms at all times. She fakes a cough and gets a drink, and might just be the fastest crawler in New York to get to something she wants. Oh, and she does this nose-scrunching thing when she smiles, that might just be the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. Her smile is amazing, and she shows such delight in the little things (like snacks).

Maya has no real words, but talked for an hour and a half straight. Her babbling is hilarious, she clearly knows exactly what she’s saying and expects everyone around her to listen and understand. Watch out world, when this girl formulates a vocabulary, I’m not sure she’ll ever stop talking.
