Last week I had the honor of meeting New York State’s youngest Senator, his beautiful and super sweet wife, and their new bundle of boy! Jack Hudson (yes named for the Hudson River) came to see me at 12 days old, and I’m so glad I got the chance to snuggle him. Typically babies are happiest and quietest when being held…Jack was happiest in buckets. Every time I got him into a deep sleep and handed him off to mama, he woke up. We’d go back to getting him to sleep and handed him to daddy and Jack’s eyes popped open. Put him in a bucket? Snore. So we let Jack lead the way and were still able to get beautiful family images (with a wide awake baby who only wanted to eat his hands), and sweet sleepy bucket shots as well. 

I love first time parents. You could feel the love they had for one another, and the love they shared for their new baby boy. Their eyes rarely left their son and the smiles never left their faces. Mom and Dad I’m so happy you shared Jack with me, and I cannot wait to watch him grow. If he’s up at 3am my suggestion is to put him in a bucket, pretty sure he’ll sleep soundly 🙂  New York, you’re in safe hands with your newest and littlest politician. xoxo
