I have not been quiet about my excitement over my new nephew, and I could not love this kid more. My sister and I are extensions of each other and as close as any sisters I’ve ever known, so it’s probably understandable when I say I love this baby as if he was my own.

I flew to Atlanta with my youngest a few days before my sister delivered, and was thrilled to welcome him into the world, welcome him home, and then welcome him as part of the Jewish people at his bris. We spent a wonderful week together full of snuggles, tears, and sleepless nights. And I loved every minute of it, even at 3am (and again at 4am, and 5am).

Meet Boaz Maor (named after my dad and my awesome brother-in-law’s grandparents). Here’s a snippet of Boaz Maor’s first week.
