Meet Jared. This young man is funny, kind, and overall amazing. He might not like it if I told you, but he has the most adorable dimples and the sweetest twinkle in his eye. I can honestly say that I’m not sure I’ve ever met another 13 year old boy who is so incredibly thoughtful! He might be the youngest in his family, but after watching the five of them together, it was pretty clear that he sets the tone. His two older sisters adore their brother, and he’ll do just about anything to make them laugh. I loved watching their sibling bond – it’s the kind of unbreakable friendship all parents hope for between their kids.

Winter Wonderland Family Portraits

Before Jared’s bar mitzvah celebration, we took some time to do family portraits and individuals of the bar mitzvah boy himself. It was not warm for our portraits – in fact it was freezing with a light layer of snow on the ground – but Jared never complained. He just wanted to enjoy the time with his sisters and parents. And he seemed to make them forget about the cold, too, with his laughter-inducing antics. I love the magic we created! These are some of my very favorite family portraits. (I know…I probably say that every session.)

Bar Mitzvah at Club Vibe

When we arrived at Club Vibe for the celebration, Jared and his family brought the energy and love right inside with them. The whole place was filled with pure awesomeness. I couldn’t help but dance and laugh right along with them. This family is SO MUCH FUN! The whole crew – sisters, parents, aunts, uncles, and cousins – tore up the dance floor. The venue did an awesome job of making this an evening to remember, and the food from Element Food Artwas equally creative and delicious!

Jared is a gem of a teenager, and it was an honor and a pleasure to document this special milestone for their family. Mazel Tov, Jared!
