The morning of Father’s Day I witnessed amazing love in an awesome family. And no I’m not talking about my own. I went to Lori and Dave’s home for their family session, and was immediately struck by the warmth and love this family has for each other. I arrived before Dave came home from baseball, and had a great session with the kids. The music blasted, we sang, danced, hula-hooped, swung, climbed, even scootered around the yard. As soon as daddy arrived the kids squealed, shrieked, and welcomed him home as if he’d been gone for a lot longer than his two hour game. 

MJ and Edi were so much fun, they loved showing me their toys, and their silly faces. I asked what they loved, and the kids ran out with their golf clubs, so we got some ‘action’ shots there. And Dave brought out the license plate from his dad’s car. His dad passed away several years ago, and with two sons proudly drove around displaying his love for his boys. It was only appropriate on Father’s Day to capture this as well.

Throughout our session I was just taken by the love this family has for each other. Big brother MJ adores his little sister and protected her all morning, and Edi could not stop kissing him. Speaking of kissing, Lori and Dave are one of the cutest couples I have ever seen. The smiles on their faces were not from saying ‘cheese’ but rather out of true happiness.
