I think everyone’s first job is tough. College is over, the partying must end, it’s not just a GPA you could screw up – it’s real life. When I got my first job out of college I was lucky enough to work in one of the largest firms in my industry, right in the heart of Times Square. It was both thrilling and terrifying all at the same time. With the stress, late nights, and projects in which we were in over our heads, I was able to share that first job with a great friend. We went through a lot together that year. 10 years later we’ve since moved on (neither of us lasted more than a year in that job) and are both moms. And when she asked me to take her baby girl’s first birthday pics I jumped at the opportunity. We celebrated this girl’s big day in style, and after her portraits she went to town on her birthday cake.
