The world is filled with undiscovered wonders. Come, little one, let’s find them out together.   -Emilie Ahern

All of my newborns hold a special spot in my heart. But Chloe’s space is pretty big 🙂 I first met her mom and dad about a year and half ago when they hired me to take some first birthday portraits of their son Gavin. Gavin (or Goo as they lovingly refer to him) has these amazing eyes and incredible smile – it’s impossible not to smile when you see this boy. As it happens often, Gavin’s mom and I became friends thanks to our session (I have a hard time separating myself from my clients!) and when she called to tell me she was pregnant but it was really early and I couldn’t tell anyone, I was over the moon. I was thrilled for them, thrilled that Gavin would be a big brother, and thrilled that I was among the first to know the news (even if it was only because she wanted to make sure she had a spot in my busy schedule!)

A few weeks before Chloe entered the world we met for a maternity shoot that became one of my favorite sessions. Mom was glowing and eagerly awaiting her baby girl.

At one week old Chloe entered my studio and my heart. We were able to capture images of their new family of 4 (which is not an easy task with a 2.5 year old!) as well as some pics of mom with her new baby girl. And as long as I had Gavin in the studio there was no way I was going to let him leave without some solo shots as well. That smile? That was thanks to some crazy noises and promises of Fruit Loops 🙂

Chloe is squishy, perfect, and full of smiles. She did so well during our session I could not have been happier! Chloe you are so loved. Welcome to the world, welcome to a wonderful family, welcome to my heart.

Come on, look at that smile for her mamma!
And another amazing smile!
