Every bar mitzvah is awesome, but this one has a special place in my heart. Having known Harry since birth and getting to know the unique, sweet, truly good kid that he’s become, it was an absolute pleasure to photograph his bar mitzvah. Harry is an amazing big brother and a kind and caring friend. This was evident all weekend as those who love him gathered to celebrate this milestone.

Harry was an absolute pro all weekend. He lead the morning service as if he’s been doing it his whole life and read from the Torah beautifully – not a nerve to be seen. And this week’s Torah portion was the longest of the year! The pride on his parents, grandparents aunts and uncles faces was palpable (and watching them watch Harry possibly made me tear up).  And later that night we partied! His party was epic – Harry entered the dance floor to the theme song from ‘The Office’ and hours later was still busting a move with his friends.

I always appreciate when my friends consider me as their photographer, instead of telling me to just enjoy the day off – believe me I can multitask! You’ll see my cameos in the images below, I may even have gotten creative and taken a few in the awesome photo booth mirror.
